Just got back from yard saleing a bit ago.

I went to a community about half an hour away which is a gated community, and they were having a big community yard sale. I had always been a bit curious about the community, because they have a lake there..not Lake Anna. Really, their lake isn't too impressive but I didn't know that until I saw it. One thing that had that was nice was at the gate when you came in they had addresses of the houses that were having sales, and what they had, which allowed you to pick and choose the ones to go to..but other than a larger one by the community center, I didn't see much that floated my boat. I did buy one thing..but at least I got to see the community. Do you ever go to yard sales?

About the same thing really..The only time you see trunk sales here would be at a flea market

Yes, I like the thing I picked out. I know where I want to put it, but I have to get everything off of that counter first, so it looks good.

My mom dragged me to those when I was a kid. She bought trinkets and trash and everything and anything. She ended up being a really bad filthy hoarder. As a result, I am a minimalist and I can't stand clutter and I avoid those sales like the plague. That's just me. I have a reason. Otherwise I don't have a problem with yard sales.

I don't tend to buy too much when I go. I just look for deals,something I could use or stuff to look classy in the house that doesn't cost much.
