Just got back from yard saleing a bit ago.

I went to a community about half an hour away which is a gated community, and they were having a big community yard sale. I had always been a bit curious about the community, because they have a lake there..not Lake Anna. Really, their lake isn't too impressive but I didn't know that until I saw it. One thing that had that was nice was at the gate when you came in they had addresses of the houses that were having sales, and what they had, which allowed you to pick and choose the ones to go to..but other than a larger one by the community center, I didn't see much that floated my boat. I did buy one thing..but at least I got to see the community. Do you ever go to yard sales?

About the same thing really..The only time you see trunk sales here would be at a flea market

It looks very pretty. I like the mountains surrounding it. Everything looks blue. The lake here can be gorgeous like that on a clear day. The first time I saw the lake here, many years ago..I was so impressed because the water was warm, it was blue, and the sun glistened on it like diamonds.

Not anymore. Not only because of my physical limitations; but because I"m trying to downsize. When my husband was alive, I would send a box of stuff to Goodwill; and he would go to garage sales and bring more stuff home. sigh

Yes, I like the thing I picked out. I know where I want to put it, but I have to get everything off of that counter first, so it looks good.

They have them pretty often in this area, the problem is most of them really aren't worth going to. There are a lot of kids clothes and toys, that holds no appeal for me.
