Recently @DianneN shared a beautful photo of her Cherry Willow and I can honestly say I envy her. I wish those kinds of delicate trees could grow here.
But the desert does have a few colorful trees but almost always their blooms are small with the limited colors. So far I've only seen pale yellow, pale pink or orange in the natural desert we used to have but developers are destroying what little is left of 'my' beautiful desert.
Do you ever steal seed pod from trees growing on commercial property? That's what I did and this is my reward

Thank you
I actually stole em, most businesses here just hire local jokes to clean and throw away yard stuff. They prefer to keep their gravel lookin purdy, as if that's possible.
People here buy half acres, put a mobile home on it and fill most of it with gravel. Yuck.

Thanks for the mention and of my Weeping Cherry Tree.
Your thievery paid off. It’s a bright and beautiful tree. A friend sent me Mexican sunflower seeds which grew into beautiful flowers. If you want, I can send some to you. The flowers are red. I never stole seeds from commercial property, but admit I’ve swiped a few while on my many walks.
