What a surprise, and not planned, but both songs today that celebrate anniversaries this year are by women. Today, for the song that’s turning 70 this year, I also turn to my 100 favorites list (the pop/rock list) for an encore from one of my favorite singers.
#5: A Tear Fell - Teresa Brewer
I’ve told you how my dad insisted that we didn’t have anything that wasn’t country music. As a result, I grew up thinking Teresa Brewer (and the Mills Brothers, Glenn Miller, and the Platters?!!?!?) were country.
Yes, I grew up with this woman’s remarkable voice in the house.
Most people who remember Teresa Brewer (1931-2007) remember her big hit “Music! Music! Music!” I know a lot more of her stuff because we had one of her albums. And I’m so glad that I do know a lot more of her stuff.

She was, and I’m not surprised that you haven’t heard it.

@FourWalls It was before my time. And my parents did not have her in their collection.

I think I may have actually heard that song before. I knew who the singer was. Hubby didn't get song or artist.
