Money gives you options..

There is this song by a Nigerian artist.. can't remember her name ..one line hit me hard.. Money can’t buy me love, money can’t buy me happiness… but I still want money anyway. I love that part because money gives you options and freedom . yesterday I lived that truth. There is a mosque very close to my house that runs on solar.. the members donated for it, inverter and batteries sitting right inside the imam’s apartment with the power extended to the mosque so people can charge in both places. People are allowed to charge inside the mosque but not in the imams apartment. I usually give my power bank to the young boy staying with the imam. It's safer than the mosque, where things keep disappearing. Yesterday, I gave the boy my power bank to charge . The imam warned him not to charge inside the house, so the boy took it to the mosque. But the moment the imam stepped out, he sneaked it back and plugged it inside again. When the imam returned and caught him, he seized my power bank. When the boy told me what happened, I told him he should have just followed the imams instruction. I would have understood if he'd explained to me. Still, I had to beg one of the imams friend to plead with him just to get my powerbank back. That’s the difference. With money, I wouldn’t need to beg or choose between safety and power. I’d just have my own solar setup. I wouldn't have to plead or beg anyone to help me charge my powerbank. So yeah… even knowing money can’t buy love or happiness, I still want it anyway because it gives me freedom
