What a faux pas

As you can probably tell I am no stranger to boo, boos, but I made a big one last night that reminded me of when my grandma had Alzheimers..yikes..I have been tested in recent years though everything was good..although I do notice things that I shouldn't be forgetting. Last night as mentioned sis had sent pics of the wedding party..one of course was my nephew Steven..who looked different in the pic than real life..and I just saw him a few weeks ago. Anyway, that was bad enough..but I spelled his name with a pH which is how friend spells his name..Stephen..how embarrassing... Sis had to remind me..of the correct spelling. I knew it..just..not registering.

It happens, as Stephen is very common you did not register that his name is spelled Steven.

I guess, but it shouldn't have happened.

@snowy22315 - I know, I feel very embarrassed when I misspell a name.

Tell me about it. Even with two of us, we can't come up with the names we need.

I misspelled cousin #2's name on the envelope of a greeting card. Inside I had written it correctly. I couldn't believe it.

That’s understandable. I make references to my age when something like that happens. Kind of laugh at myself.

I know the feeling. You were probably preoccupied. My family has Ann, Anne, Marcia, Marsha, Sara, Sarah, and half of my family can’t remember that I spell my name Dianne and not Diane or Diana.

Sigh! It would be hard to keep those Sara, Sarah, and Marsha, Marcia, Ann, and Anne straight..

The name mix-up makes sense, especially if you chat with your friend more often or more recently, as I imagine you do.

I was kind of glad she did honestly. Although, I am sure the next time I would have gotten it right..like if I was sending him a card or something I wouldn't misspell the name.
