I watched Crime and Punishment. This version was in 1983. It's Finnish version. I had the subtitles on. It's very loosely based on the book. It has Markku Toikka, Aino Seppo, Esko Nikkari, Hannu Lauri, Olli Tuominen, Matti Pellonpää, and Kari Sorvali in it. Big Warning: there is violence and one hint of rape. Spoiler Below. In this movie, a man named Antti Rahikainen shoots and kills another man. He takes the man's watch and wallet. Then a woman comes in. (I thought it was a maid, but I was wrong. I also thought he was going to kill her, but I was wrong.) She sees the body on the floor and looks at Antti. He asks who she is and tells her to call the police. She is a courier for a bakery. She does call the police. She does give a vague description to the police. Antti does see the woman again. Her boss though wants to date her badly. He even tries to rape her. But she tries to kill her boss with the gun she found at Antti's apartment. But her boss does die by getting hit by a bus. The police find out that man Antti killed was part of hit and run many years earlier. The man was acquitted of the hit and run. The man had killed Antti's fiancée. Antti says to the courier that the relationship he had was over before the hit and run happened. (If that is true, why kill him?) When Antti sees the police, he does ask about the crime, asking if the man was killed by an axe, lol. Antti sets up a beggar by giving him a locker key and the police arrest the beggar. Antti also get s fake passport, but he doesn't run though. In the end he confesses to the crime. I sorta liked this version. I'm watching next Crime and Punishment. This version was made in 2002. If I can't see it, I will watch a version made in 2015.
