I have cast my vote in Assembly election in West Bengal

There is Assembly election in state of West Bengal. Today was the date of voting. I have exercised my vote and franchise. There is an EPIC number created by Election Commission of India. Voting is a fundamental right and a fundamental duty. One should exercise it in a democracy so that the government can be the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

True but most people don't exercise their right and duty to vote in the US.

@sathviksouvik A lot of them say their votes don't matter so there is no reason to vote. And that is true in the presidential elections but the elections for city government, and state governments, their votes DO matter.

Voting is compulsory in Australia. I think it is a good thing really otherwise many people wouldn't vote.
