Yesterday, we experienced an unexpected power outage that lasted for 9 hours. It was a surprise! Lol. People had to rely on the Facebook page of the electric company for announcements, which unfortunately, not everyone can access because of work commitments, lack of internet connection, or other reasons. I was unable to prepare meals since using the gas stove was prohibited in my apartment. Therefore. I had to venture out to buy food, which was a hassle given the scorching heat outside. Summer has officially arrived, and in some areas, dangerous heat levels have been reported. Even sitting on a chair, I was drenched in sweat. Lol. It was an incredibly hot day. The dogs were restless due to the extreme heat. I have a rechargeable fan, but it only lasted for two hours. Yikes. Are power outages common where you live?

No, they aren’t common; I’d say twice a year. Sometimes they are due to a bad storm, and sometimes it’s because everyone is using their air conditioning and it created a blackout. Last time it took seven hours to fix, and it turned out someone had cut a tree and it fell over the power line. That was really annoying.
I feel for you having to deal with such heat this time of year.

That’s great news! In our area, it happens quite frequently, especially during typhoons. Please take care, Amber.

Thankfully we don't often have outages here. I'm sorry it's so hot. I wouldn't like that at all.
