I first shared this mention of desserts we have here in the United States in a response to @xFiacre several weeks ago and @TraceyJane liked the photo I attached.
Well, we had occasion to have one of these desserts yesterday for mother-in-law, so I thought I'd make an actual post about it.
A skillet cookie dessert is a small to medium cast iron skillet in which they bake a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie, then they top that with ice cream and whipped cream. The juxtaposition of warm cookie and cold ice cream is to die for.
Do they have these where you live? Have you ever had one?

I had one one time at BJ's restaurant and brew pub. They are fairly common I think, and delicious, and we won't talk about the calories..shhh.

I’ve seen them but I don’t want to blow a month’s worth of points and four years of weight loss on one. But I can almost smell that picture!

I have never seen a skillet cookie dessert in my lifetime.
