A Whole Lot of Blood and an Overall Bad Day

It just hasn't been the best of days. Nothing serious, just one of those days where everything seems to go wrong from the very start. I overslept this morning. I never do that. Well, is it technically oversleeping if you didn't have to be up at a certain time? But I had planned on leaving the house at 9 am and didn't get up until 9 am. Then the main road leading to our house (it's a side road actually) was being paved in one direction and under construction the other direction, so it was a feat to get out today. I had to get blood drawn but the lab doesn't take appointments. I was there for an hour and a half before they finally called my name. Come to find out, the doctor ordered 11 different tests, so there were multiple tubes of blood I had to fill. I hadn't eaten in over 16 hours and was thirsty so I was a little grumpy and I stopped by Walgreens to get a protein bar (yes I gave those up a month ago, but I was desperate) and they didn't have any. Then I stopped at a gas station to buy a lottery ticket (scratch-off) and it wasn't a winner. By that time I had missed my scheduled card-playing date with the girls. So I headed home, again to massive traffic and construction, and headed straight to bed. Which is why it's 5:15 pm Thursday and I'm just getting on myLot for the first time today. Whew! It's been quite the day. First world problems, I know. No big deal.
