So, for our meal last night The Mister found a restaurant that we hadn't been to before. We do eat out a lot as you know, and usually we go to pubs ....they are very good locally to both home and the caravan. However, this was not a pub, this was a restaurant. It was called The Coach House. The Mister had seafood Platter ... Consisting of breaded or battered prawns, squid, cod, calamari....with chips and peas. I had homemade fagg*TS with chips and peas and a serving ladle of gravy. The fagg*TS were made by a local butcher... Oh my days, they were some of the best I have ever eaten. You can certainly tell the difference between shop bought and butcher made. We both enjoyed our meals immensely x

I’m unfamiliar with the bad word as it pertains to food. It sounds like you found a winner of a restaurant.

I know what that is but not the reason it's called that. Mom used to make it after we butchered a pig on the farm and she wanted to make use of everything except the squeal. Mom ground all the odd bits and pieces of the pig that were left over after putting the majority of the "favorite" parts into the freezer. Then made meatballs with them and fried them in lard. They were good. We ate them with mashed potatoes, cornbread and, usually, corn on the cob. (Dad always asked for them with peas but I didn't like peas so mom made corn for me.)

I know what the bad word is, but I don't know what kind of food it refers to. Sorry.
