Kitty brought me a bird this morning. Sigh.

It is Spring. This means I will have to face two things.
Young raccoons, trained by their parents, will soon be breaching my sliding glass door, trying to help themselves to Kitty's dry food.
And Kitty, bless her heart, will be bringing me baby birds and half-mice, contributing to our collective food store.
This morning, Kitty brought me a young sparrow for breakfast.
I did not pretend to eat it, as I sometimes do. I picked her up, with the bird in her mouth, and returned her to "the wild."
I do not like feathers all over the space in front of my vintage stereo. That's her
"dining place."
She is now cleaning her various body parts at my feet.
I hope she had a good meal.

Oh may be she can start leaving baby Birds !
But I suppose, you cannot do much in this case?
And are raccoons too many in your place?

Doves help themselves with Luna´s food here. But Luna doesn´t mind them.

I remember an early morning in Latvia when our cat Sid ran in with a mouse. Suddenly he let go of it and my husband gave chase and it was like being in a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

When I had indoor/outdoor cats (3 of them) they each brought me a chipmunk per day as a gift.

You know she's telling you to eat more... it's like an aunt saying you're skin and bones.
