Heavy Rains in Kenya and effects

This season’s heavy rains here in Kenya are turning destructive. Over the past week, we have witnessed night time rains that take close to 7 hrs to end! The worst took place on Thursday night. Many families were displaced as a result. On Friday an elderly woman and her son drowned trying to cross a flooded bridge. Many estates in our capital city are facing flood related problems. Roads are either destroyed or impassible. Yet politicians are busy politicking. Farmers have not been spared. Flooded farms are commonplace. My early morning work has been disrupted since the rains go through the night, reducing my working schedule. I hope there are no heavy rains wherever you are, friends.
