365 Days of Photos - Day 10

Rupert, Idaho
May 4, 2026 2:18pm CST
Hello everyone, how are you doing? I thought for the next photo in the series, I would share another photo edit I did. It is another photo I took of the river that was in the last photo. However, this is a black and white edit. Do you like black and white photos? Does it work for a photo of the river? I know it works well for photos of people. Nature is another question. Personally, I do like that you can mostly just see the bridge. But I would love your thoughts.

I like the way you can see the light from the bridge vividly. I do tend to prefer color photos, but there’s always the beauty of Ansel Adams’ work.

Is Ansel any relation to Grizzly Adams?

Well I loved playing around with photo editing back in the day when I did this...and loved how this turned out with the bridge especially. I recall that name, but not sure I am too familiar with their work. I will have to check that out.

You could have, hard to keep track with having 10 days now. But they aren't going anywhere. Glad you think this one is cool. I thought it was, even though black and white is different for this style of photography. But yes, the bridge definitely is the focus here with the lack of color.

@Ineeddentures That is good to know. I like black and white with a pop of color, an interesting effect. I know I have some of those somewhere...
