I generally feel that the highways and state highways are better maintained than the other urban roads. One of the reasons is always the toll that is paid by the users. In the Calcutta Delhi highway in the dividers, red oleander or pink oleander are planted. Just because they are cared for and properly watered the plants grow well and add greenery.

Are you the one who usually drives on long trips?
It's usually the same here. Toll highways have nice plants growing in the mediums between the highways.

@sathviksouvik I rarely travel on toll roads. I prefer the broad Interstate highways which don't slow down traffic and we can travel very rapidly.

Yes that is a great plantation.
I suppose Toll collection would be helpful.
Which stretch of the Delhi Kolkata Highway is this?
By the way, we have a change of party in the recent WB polls.
It is making all the headlines since yesterday.

Regarding the second question, Mamata Banerjee TMC party got 81 seats in bengal and will sit in the opposition. BJP with 200 plus seats will form state government. The mandate of most states had come for change. in Tamil Nadu it is TVK party of Vijay who is forming government and in Kerala it is UDF led by Congress which will form government. Mamata ruled bengal for 15 years and will remain opposition
