Invasion of the caterpillars ……

So, I just went to the freezer in the garage to get something out for my tea, and as I was walking back through the carport I saw some caterpillars out of the corner of my eye…..on the bin !
Oh my days ….when I went back to remove them …..there were loads of them !!!
I’m not good with these sorts of things …..
I rang Mom …..tip hot water on them, she said .
I did that but there were too many , and there was water everywhere.
In the end I had to go to my next door neighbours and they came round to help.
John collected so many, Jenny and I stayed as far away as we could.
It seems they have come out of the garden rubbish bin.
All three bins are now outside ….and that is where they are going to stay until The Mister gets home on Friday !
I am in shock ……

So you'll take some over to Mom and the two of you won't need to buy any food for the rest of the week! 
So Mom usually boils them? With what kind of sauce? And over what, rice or spaghetti?

@DaddyEvil……I have just done other post …..what I got from the freezer was spaghetti carbonara …..after dealing with all the caterpillars I had to sit and eat spaghetti !
If only Mom and I were birds we probably would have enjoyed the feast …..

Did they taste like caterpillars while you were eating the spaghetti?
You could grind the caterpillars up, add them to ground beef and you'd never know you'd added something to the recipe.

@DaddyEvil I must say ….i couldn’t finish the spaghetti …..it’s all I could think about. Just too late to put it back in the freezer though 1

@LooeyVille. I admit when I saw how many there were it did freak me out …..a couple I could have dealt with ….but there were masses of the blooming things. Fortunately my neighbours are lovely and will always help me.
