As you know, I am on the frugal side overall. I just don't need that many material possessions.Well, at least material possessions not related to music.
Yesterday I ordered two high quality woofers for a pair of Snell K/II loudspeakers I have here. The foam surrounds on the old woofers were beginning to rot.
I had a pleasant conversation (actual conversation with a human) with the guy at Parts Express (they sell audio components like resistors, capacitors, and raw drivers), and together we figured out which woofers would work best in Snell K/IIs.
So now I have a new project: slightly sand down the holes that the woofers will go into, and then replace the woofers.
It will be fun to hear what the speakers sound like with new, high quality, woofers. I restored the walnut (or are they oak?) cabinets years ago.
Have you "splurged " recently?

We've only been spending money on groceries lately. We need to go through the house again and figure out what we can take to the thrift store here in town.

@TheHorse Same... Lots of shirts that don't fit me anymore, jeans that aren't the right size and shoes I have never worn.

I bought a new pair of shoes. Doesn't that count? It wasn't really a splurge as I needed them.
