We received our 'invitation' to complete the Canadian Census 2026. It has to be completed by next Tuesday, and only arrived on Thursday of last week. We got the invitation with the code needed to complete it online. Had we wanted to do a hard copy we would have had to make that request last Thursday and it would not had arrived in time for Tuesday. Such nonsense. It literally took my husband 30-35 minutes to complete this. Earlier in the year, I received a card for the Epic trip that I just recently took for work. It was like a postcard, but a bit larger. It has wildflower seeds in it. I cut it up into strips this morning and planted it. I have some marigolds from last year which have decided to come up. I like to see that. This afternoon I am meeting a co-worker that lives in my neighbourhood for a walk. It is a glorious day for a walk, and we just met on the trip and it will be great to chat and catch up again. My son is taking his lovely wife out for a romantic meal tonight and we will have the girls here for a few hours. In the morning they are taking me out for breakfast. I am not as big of a breakfast out lover as my son and hubs are, but spending time with them and of course the girls, is all that I really want. I should go and take the laundry out of the dryer and put some more in. I worked in the office yesterday and didn't get my 'chores' done that I usually do on Fridays. ~Photo of a trillium-native flower of Ontario, my province
