A Florida State Police Trooper was on the clock in Cape Coral on Thursday around 3am when he saw a Malinois dog walking on a sidewalk when the trooper chased the dog who was likely abandoned by his owner when the dog jumped into a saltwater canal. The name of the Florida State Trooper was not released jumped into the canal after the dog who needed to be rescued as the trooper was able to save the dog and take the dog to solid ground safely. The dog was taken to the Lee County veterinary animal where the veterinarians are hoping to reunite the dog with his owner soon. The state trooper was just doing his job to serve his community which is good to know that the trooper saved the dog's life which makes him feel happy. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/oth...

I thought most dogs knew how to swim and loved it.

I thought so as well that dogs can swim in the water myself.

My dog fell into a waste water cubbyhole type thing, More like grey water.I live where there is dry river bed, and the land raises probably about 30 to 40 feet. and they built houses there. They use it as like shower or bath water run off in this big cement pit. Brooklyn was hunting rabbit and somehow fell into it. Its deep enough where she could drown. She was barely holding her head high enough. I was about to jump in and dumb Kai dog just jumps in. Dammit Kai, What are you going to do? Lift her up with my mouth. She is a 70 pound dog. You have to love her heart. Kai was to big to drown, 110 pound water logged over a 4 foot wall is making me almost get a hernia right now. The funny thing its in a bush or some kind of tree bushes making it hard to see, but the city workers just happened to be there that day. They watched me jump in save both my dogs and say why the hell is this here? They filled it in with out me having to call the city in a week. How is that for service? Still did not get my name in no paper.

That's good that the trooper was able to save the dog. I hope they're able to find the owner.
