Firefighters from the Greene County in Ohio answered an emergency call on Saturday morning when a family were aboard a canoe that capsized in the Little Miami River. Bellbrook Fire Department Lieutenant Jon Nickerson led his firefighters to use a boat to rescue an adult and a child out of the water at first to take them to the shore safely while firefighters used another boat to rescue the other family members who were in the river and take them to safety. The family that was rescued rented a canoe from the Bellbrook Canoe Rental before the accident happened. Thank goodness that no one was injured in the accident. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

Glad they were all rescued, I have been of the mind that no more than 2 people should go out in a canoe,

That is a good idea of limiting two persons in a canoe.

That must be frightening for them to experience. Thanks to the rescuers that did their best to save them.

I would never go in a canoe, and any boat l go in, has to be a very big one. They were fortunate to be rescued, as once in the water, it is already dangerous, and the timing of any rescue is paramount. It was good all were rescued here safely
