Unexpected day off for The Mister

So, today is Monday. That usually means around a 4am get up for The Mister.
However, not today.
His partner is having to drive 3 hours to get the permit for the next job. They are told that they will be ready for 12 noon. Then there is a drive of almost 3 hours to get to where they are currently working.
By the time they arrive, even if the permit is released on time, which it rarely is, they won’t have time to work much more than an hour.
So, they will get ‘stand down’ money. Obviously not nearly as much as they could have earned. But it’s something.
So, I get him at home for an extra day.
It was lovely to be able to stay up late on a Sunday evening for a change.
It has rained but the sun is trying to come out. Hopefully we can have a lovely day.

An extra day with your hubby is always welcomed!!!
J comes today with my groceries and prescriptions and will do her usual. I think I'll have her do a load of clothes too.

Enjoy your day with the Mister and I can certainly understand how you were happy to stay up late Sunday.
Looks like rain here today and it's a bit chilly. I'm just relaxing after having the whole family here yesterday for Mothers Day.
