That was the minimum we could do

Today I got 90 packets of sweets and snacks prepared in a sweet shop. l carried them to the school where my daughter studied from Upper KG to Standard VIII. We had to get the child admitted into the school in the town 12 km from home. She completed her Senior Secondary education there. In the same year she appeared in NEET UG eligibility test. Though she had qualified her rank could not fetch her a seat in any government medical college. She attended a coaching institute to enhance her grade. The Pathfinder Institute helped her land a seat in a government medical College next year. As a middle class family we could only aim at a government medical college. We could not afford a private college , where fees are too high. In the government colleges the state government sponsors the medical students. Now that our child has completed her MBBS, we felt it appropriate to express our gratitude to the school , the principal, the teachers and the non-teaching staff. Some teachers from the town school have joined our school and they know her. The present principal in our school was principal in the town school when our child was student there. Thus, we can say many people have played their part in the formation of this new doctor. That's why, it is very appropriate that we express our gratefulness through a token at the least. From the reports I received, I'm glad to say that every one appreciated our humble gesture.

Thank you jaishankar. She has new challanges to face to be moderately successful in the field. Actually, she has already started studying for sitting in NEET-PG test. When I'm typing these words she is bent on her book.

I'm sure the gesture was very much appreciated. There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. Schools help too of course.

The saying is quite meaningful, Judy. The news has become the talk of the village.
