How many cousins do you have?

I’ve spoken about my friend who recently celebrated her 80th birthday. She gave a short speech at her party. Her mother was one of ten children and her father one of eleven. She was able to name all the aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.
Her mother was near the oldest in the family and the father was the youngest in his. So my friend has over 150 first cousins. When they have a reunion it’s a very big one!
She has three sisters, one brother and another brother is deceased. All those living were there to help her celebrate with one couple travelling from Tasmania and the others coming from interstate. Vince took lots of photos for her of the various groups. She will have some lovely memories to look back on.

Great photo. Glad they were all able to be there. I have never counted my cousins but it's not that many.

What a great group! I have no idea how many first cousins I have. My dad is the 15th of 16 children. There are so many of the first cousins, second, and third that I can’t keep track. I’m thankful for them though. I don’t care what anyone says, big, close families can be good for the world.

That is an amazingly large family.
And to be able to count them all, that is so special.
On my mother's side I had 12 cousins, and on my Dad's side I have 4 cousins.
On my mother's side there is 1 who passed in the early '90's and there are a couple that are estranged, and for whatever reason, no longer keep in touch with their immediate family nor the rest of us.

It depends on who we count. I don't know on my fathers side and if we are only counting first cousins ii have six on my mothers side.
