Someone posted about enduring an internet outage. Had the same experience recently and since I work from home, I cannot afford to not have internet. Good thing there is a nearby hotel in my place. The outage lasted for two whole days and the announcement from the provider was late. When I learned about it, I thought about what to do. An option was to report for work in the office. that was fine but what will I do at home without internet? So I decided to call the nearby hotel and book a room for two days. It was fairly easy to book a room. I was able to request for an early check-in. I packed my laptops, my mobile monitor, and a just enough clothes for two days. When I arrived to check-in, I qualified for a late check-out. That certainly was a plus. There was also some welcome drinks and snacks sent up to my room. Glad, I was able to turn this inconvenience into a well-deserved staycation. Picture of the lobby in my floor.
