Mom's getting new hearing aids.....

So, this morning we arrived for Moms hearing test. We were told the person we were booked to see was absent so we would be seeing a different person. I do wish that they wouldn't do this as Mom gets nervous with new people and if its something official it makes it worse. ( They rang yesterday to confirm the appointment so they could have told us then ....I did check that they knew when they rang yesterday that they knew the original person would not be in today ). Anyway, the lady was lovely and she was very thorough ...did lots of tests and explained well about the results . ( She didn't know that I have had a career working with hearing impaired so I understood what was happening with the tests as I could see the results on the screen ). The result of the tests showed that Mom needs to upgrade her hearing aids. She wasn't pleased about this , of course, but her current hearing aids are well over the 4 year life they are predicted to have. The hearing in her right ear stayed the same whilst the hearing in the left ear seemed slightly better than the last check up. So, new hearing aids ordered and we have to go next Friday to have them fitted.
