Absentee Ballots

I received my absentee ballot today. I was rather surprised to see the amount of runners who are advocates of the LBGTQ community. I am not gay but I do respect them. I have known several in my 74 years on this earth. Each were fun to be around and always theatrical and colorful. They were good friends and always respectful of others. Out of probably half a dozen that I became friends with none of them were gossips, never had a bad word to say about others, and you always knew where you stood with them. They never played games. I appreciate those things in fellow humans. My heart goes out to them and what some of them have gone through since Trump took office. I feel a need to have people in government who respect them and see them as having a place in society.

We need people that accept and respect everyone. Something this administration has no concept of

I agree with everything you've said here. On the whole, they are lovely people, whatever their inclinations.
