It is sad the was government is now. How ugly and self interested the ones in the WH are nowadays. My grandson and my daughter don't go in much for politics. I didn't either until Trump came on the scene. Then something changed in me. I tried so hard to help people see how bad he'd be for our country but I seemed to have failed miserably. I even blocked some fellow Mylotters because their ignorance was so full blown I just couldn't stand it.
I keep 'my kids', as I call them both, in the know as far as what new ugliness he comes up with. It really saddens me at how little they seem to care. I guess unless it really hits a person in the ribs hard many just can't see it and don't care.

I think folks in US need to wait till end 2028 for their fortunes to change.
Trump's policies have made him lose support even among a section of Republicans.
Leave alone other countries' relations.
Recently he congratulated our PM for PM's party's big win in a state election!
Totally out of context or perhaps a diffuser for few relationships strains that developed earlier !
He has also downgraded US's relations with NATO countries.

Maybe they don't see much difference in their circumstances yet or perhaps they think there is little they can do to change the state of the country. It's good that you keep them up to date with what is happening. At least they will be a bit more informed than some others.

He's still talking about changing the reflecting pond, adding statues somewhere (of him?), etc. He is so full of himself.
