We are just a tiny remote corner of the world . And so, I don't expect news of our little insignificant village to find space in the international media of any kind. Nevertheless, allow me to share the happenings around me.
Our state West Bengal saw history being made last two months. I had shared about so called SIR in one of my previous discussions. It was a Special Intensive Revision of voters' list ordered by the National Election Commission of India. This revision process barred millions of people from voting in the last assembly elections.
The elections were held on April 23 and 29. By means fair and foul whatever Bharatiya Janata Party came to power. Since the change over its over enthusiastic lovers and supporters are on a rampage spree. They are destroying, breaking, burning the properties supposedly belonging to the vanquished party. Even killings have been reported. The offices of the defeated party are either "captured" or damaged by the winner party bullies. Bulldozers ( scoops/cranes , popularly known as JCBs) are being employed to clear supposedly illegal shops, markets or workshops in the different parts of the city and state.
Perhaps you citizens of democracies of Europe and America have never seen such spill over of victorious burst.
But isn't it right? After all , India is India and its leader is renowned for being the Vishwa Guru ( teacher of the world).

The party that has come to power is openly pro- Hindu and anti-Muslim. The new government is finding factories, buildings and so called "illegal" constructions in Muslim areas in the city and destroying them using bulldozers. Anger is rising among the people is gradually rising. I fear, this situation may lead to a large scale riots.

I'm sorry, I disagree. The criminal deeds of the Mamta government can't be forgotten or whitewashed by a simple "so called". The truth is that this was the first election in last many decades in which people got the opportunity to participate in a free and fare election.
I don't live in Bengal, but have a good number of Bengali friends some of whom are those who were forced to flee Bengal after the post poll violence unleased by the goons of the then ruling TMC government. Mamta has got what she deserved. I have many relatives in West Bengal. Their experiences has been heart breaking.
I disagree with what you have said. That's all. I don't want to engage in a political argument. I'll say something, you will say something else opposite to it.I wanted Mamta to lose and my wish is fulfilled. I'm very happy. Bengal is now safe. India is now safe.

we had peaceful riots in recent years and they were usually held in the street. even if someone gets violent, police is there to arrest them. i understand injustice and how it's dangerous if it hits us too hard.
