This morning I had a little bit of time to make some soup from scratch. I wanted to use up some cauliflower and broccoli, so there is soup on the stove. It isn't as warm a day as they forecasted, and soup will taste delicious and warm me up. The hubs isn't so much of a vegetable soup guy, he likes meat in his soup, so he is going without soup today. We both seem to be craving salt today. That is odd that we both are craving that. I got out a little dish of chips and sat it on the cushion on the couch between us and we both pecked away at it until we finished it. Not sure what he will make himself to satisfy that craving for lunch-for me, it will be a nice hot dish of soup with some whole wheat crackers. What's on your mind for lunch today?

Your broccoli cauliflower soup certainly sounds good to me. I can eat soup year round. Hope your hubby found something good for his lunch. Today I had a small bowl of leftover stew that I had in the freezer.

Yum, leftover stew only gets better the second time we reheat it. Some foods are just like that.

I just toasted an everything bagel and put some butter and cream cheese on it. More of a snack than anything, but it will hold me over for a while.

Cream cheese on a bagel screams a decent lunch sized meal for me. But for supper, not so much, I hope that you find something decent to snack on later.

I'm actually making 'breakfast', it's veggies with a couple chicken sausage patties in it. I hope to eat up the stuff I had in the freezer for a long time so that I can refill with fresher frozen goods.

We go through phases like that too when we need to eat up older things, it is always fun to put things together and make a great meal that we normally wouldn't even think about.
