Firefighters from Millcreek Utah answered an emergency call on Wednesday May 13 when a semi-truck broke down on a road in Parleys Canyon.
Around 25 million bees were inside of the semi-truck that was being repaired by a mechanic while the Unified Fire Authority used a hose to cool down the semi-truck to prevent the bees from dying from the heat inside of the semi-truck.
The semi-truck had around 480 hives that had around 40,000-60,000 honey-bees inside of the truck.
No firefighters were injured in the rescue mission.

I saw a similar story on YouTube of an airline that had to send for a beekeeper to come and get some bees out of a motor of a plane.

Definitely a different kind of rescue story.
Glad the bees got to cool off courtesy of the firefighters.

It is odd for firefighters to rescue bees from being inside of a truck that was stranded on a highway due to the heat outside.
