In south-central Utah, one mile southwest of Fish Lake, stands a massive quaking aspen colony that spans 106 acres. It appears to be a standard forest of over 47,000 individual trees. Every single trunk is genetically identical and is connected by a single massive underground root system. It is a single organism about 80,000 years old.

I've read about that single organism before. It's supposedly the largest organism on the planet.
