Crews with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Great Lakes in Ohio answered an emergency call on Wednesday when they went to Kelleys Island around sunset to rescue crews managed to rescue two persons who were in Lake Erie.
The two persons that were rescued by a towboat by the USCG were taken to Kelleys Island where Emergency Medical Services (EMS) persons took care of them.
The USCG then used a helicopter to rescue a third person who was in Lake Erie to rescue the third person who was treading water to EMS personnel to be taken care of.
The conditions of the trio were not released to the public or how did the trio wound up in the lake in the first place.
Thank goodness no one was hurt in the rescue mission.

Maybe they were on a boat that capsized.
We're they far from shore.

That sounds like an eerie place to be rescued from, and it was good they were rescued quickly, and safely, as treading water in a cold lake cannot be maintained for too long, I would think.

Treading in cold water is dangerous.
