Mom has her new hearing aids

So, we collected Moms new hearing aids this morning. A lovely champagne colour. The audiologist fitted them and did tests both on Moms hearing and the actual hearing aids.
She explained slowly and carefully about the various buttons etc ,
We were very happy with her and the time she took with Mom,
Time will tell of course, but they should be so much better for her.

That’s great! I hope this will make things much easier on her.
I woke up about an hour ago, but have to be out of my apartment by 11am. My dad sweetly hired someone to clean my apartment, and he said I shouldn’t be here when they come. So I’ll take my dog, go to the pharmacy, and then go spend time with my stepmom and her goddaughter who is visiting.

@AmbiePam. So far …..it’s been three hours ….she says voices are plainer ….
Your day sounds good …..and when you go home your apartment will be cleaned ….win win …..

I love when I find a doctors office or specialist that actually loves their job and takes their time with people. Not everyone is the same and older people need the better explanation some times. So glad you and your mom had a great person that loves her job to take her time with your mom. Hope they work better for your mom as well.
I have done nothing so far today but get off of work this morning and took a shower. I am waiting on house keeping to come back and change out the bed sheets so that I can go to sleep before I go to work the night shift again tonight. Hope you have a great day.

@Traceyjayne Two weeks is understandable. How is mom doing is she liking them? Hope the check up goes well for mom.
I work at a gas station a little below my pay grade BUT I needed something that was dependable work and with a paycheck every week, and I am trying to get my foot into the management.

@Jdaw1985 so far so good. She likes them . Voices seem more plain/clear she says. I spoke to her on the phone when I got back home and she says she can hear better what I was saying compared to before.
Good luck with work ….its good to have a goal to work towards ….stay positive ….it will happen.

@Jdaw We saw the same lady today as before. …she is lovely.
Two weeks to get used to them and we are back for a check up…..

@Fleura. It took us long enough to get her to have them in the first place …..we have to go back in two weeks for a check up …..she seems happy with them so far ….

@JudyEv. I’m hoping she can cope with the buttons too. She has two weeks to master them and we have to go back for a check up.
