Do you always practice mindful eating?

We watched a movie on TV last night and I made some homemade popcorn and cookies to munch on. Unfortunately, we finished all the food before the movie was even half over. I guess we were snacking without really paying attention. Has this ever happened to you?

We stopped eating while watching TV because you do not even realize you are eating and end up eating too much.

@Shasha_ - I think that what we eat plays an important role in how we feel. I try to cook healthy meals, but not boring meals.

@Shasha_ - I have different kinds of food according to the seasons. During winter we like soups, particularly creamy soups like pumpkin and potato and leaks. During summer we like salads and one of our favorite is tuna and avocado, or a chicken salad.

That is such a massive win for your health and well-being! You nailed the exact reason why mindless eating happens, and taking control of that habit is incredibly powerful.

Perfection is impossible. It's completely fine to take a break from being mindful of every single bite

I'm with you. It is practically a universal rule that movie snacks taste twice as good during the trailers.

I eat my dinner while watching news. While eating I concentrate on news as well as my food. I never forget to chew every morsel till it it turns into liquid. It has been my habit for years.

@Shasha_ [em]lol[ I don't know It happens automatically. I'm eager to know what is happening around in my country and the world and I'm equally serious about chewing my food properly. I knew our digestive system begins from mouth.

That sounds like an incredibly mindful and disciplined way to enjoy your evening! Eating so intentionally is a wonderful habit, but it makes me curious about how you balance your focus.

Wow that's terrible. That is not mindful eating. Mindful eating is eating it all before the movie starts!!

That is the ultimate plot twist, and honestly, your logic is absolutely flawless! Eating the entire snack during the trailers to ensure 100% undivided attention for the actual movie is peak cinematic mindfulness. You are completely living in the moment!

Omg yes! Glad it’s not just me. The movie snacks barely make it through the trailers.
