Playing Games on Your Own Mind

Back in the early 80s I jogged 7 miles each day. I remember I started then playing games with my mind. Out in the heat, feeling sweaty and sometimes I'd get so thirsty. I'd play a mental game with myself. If I finished the full 7 miles I would fix myself a cold frosty drink of my choice. I would then visualize how it would taste, how good it would feel to swallow this cool and tasty beverage, etc. It really worked for me. I have taken that on into my life and utilized it to keep me moving forward. Using visualization can help us in many areas of our lives. Our minds are complex and fascinating parts of our bodies. It gives us the opportunity to function, learn and overcome some extreme challenges.
