The party's over, it's time to call it a day

I thought people stayed longer last year, but this year the last campers and motorcycles, and families and pets had all pulled out by noon. I am sure many had to work tomorrow. All that is left behind are various porta potties, in orange, and over flowed trash dumpsters. I do not see any trash scattered around. It all seems to be contained in garbage bags. They are either in the dumpster or on the ground beside it. There were many emergency vehicles that came by in the course of the evening last night. I have not heard what prompted that. There is a housing unit with elderly and disabled people on past Main Street, and my street is considered one of the major thoroughfares of the little town. This was long after the races. I do not know if perhaps people drank too much and got sick, or what. Trash pick up will be tomorrow. Not sure when the toilets will be picked up, or the removable orange metal barricades. Just another blip in the beginning of summer holidays. We saw some good flag displays at cemeteries yesterday and I know that there are honor guards at many today. For me this is more about the flags than the races. Blessed Memorial Day to you.
