Craved for some buko pie (coconut pie) the other night and it is a good thing that there was a seller here. Got myself a whole pie. Compared prices online and what I got was an ok deal. Took me three days to finish the whole thing.
I didn't eat much of the crust but only ate the filling. Too much calories in the crust.
Buko pie (coconut pie) is a traditional Filipino baked young coconut pie. It is a specialty in the municipality of Los Baños, Laguna. There have been
variants of the buko pie but the original is my favorite.

Sounds yummy, there is not to many things here with coconut in it. A lot of people here do not seem to like coconut, but what do they know.

I love coconut. I had a child's treat...fruit by the foot. Son used to like them when he was young, and I hadn't had one since that time

I sometimes leave some of the pastry for the same reason. I've never had a coconut pie.
