Well that's after today anyway. The next few days will be nuts there. Today is the senior prom. Monday is the traditional "Senior Skip Day". Tuesday is Election Day which means we have a virtual 1/2 day.
The last week is all half-days so those are a wash. That means there will be just like 8 "normal" days after Tuesday. I am giving a quiz on evolution on Monday. I don't know what I'll do after that. I might go over viruses vs bacteria, superbugs, and the importance of vaccines. I typically show a movie or 2 at the very end of the year but 2 weeks is just too much to fill with those.
Come on summer break!

That really is an awkward stretch of the school year where nothing feels fully normal anymore. Your plan actually sounds good though — topics like superbugs, viruses vs bacteria, and vaccines are relevant and usually get students talking. You could even mix in some short documentaries, current events, or class discussions to keep things engaging without relying entirely on movies. With all the half-days and events coming up, I doubt the students will complain about a lighter but still interesting approach!
