We've Had To Freeze Our Credit Bureau Accounts

The identity theft insurance company who is handling our claim for hubby's lost wallet advised us to both freeze our credit reports in both of our names, at all three credit rating bureaus to protect ourselves. It was a lot of poking around on websites getting this done, and then we found mistakes in our credit reports that we had to file disputes about - simple things like addresses where we've never lived, names we've never gone by, etc. But a review of our credit reports revealed that nothing bad has happened - - - yet. Freezing our credit reports means that no one can open any credit accounts or loans in our names. Have you ever had to freeze your credit bureau accounts?

This is such a bummer and so much work. Maybe you could get airtags, they make them for wallets that are really small.

Yes, hubby is ordering those credit-card-looking air tags for both our wallets

@LooeyVille That's good. I want to get one sometime for my purse. Of course we have the find my phone thing on the phone, but that doesn't do the wallet thing.

No, nothing on that large a scale. We have had to dispute some charges in the past. What a headache, but it is good nothing has happened yet.
