Back home , a hot drink. And the fire on …

I am back home after a week at the caravan.
Now, you know that the caravan is my happy place …..however, this past week I have been rather poorly.
A cold that hung around but didn’t actually come out as a cold , just got me bunged up.
But, it was the cough that was the worst….. I have honestly never coughed like that before.
All I had was regular cough syrup and tablets and they weren’t moving anything !
The Mister had left me as he had to go to work, and I had no transport to get me anywhere …( there is a massive concert on the beach in Weston next weekend and they have started messing about with changing bus routes and closing roads ).
I have been getting no sleep at night through coughing and have been falling asleep during the day …..oh, I am so topsy turvy at the moment !
I have just been a big ball of fuzzy head ….
I only had my phone to post on and the writing was dos small with my head pounding that I was finding it hard to concentrate.
Anyway, I am home now and drinking hot drinks and plan to go to the pharmacy first thing in the morning to see if they will prescribe something stronger for me.
Hopefully I will be on better form in just a few days ….
Anyway …..what have I missed ?

@traceyjayne You sound misery-stricken. A bad cold can feel as bad as acute intestinal distress, far worse than dandruff but not as bad as hepatitis. Do look after yourself.

I know I will feel better in a while …….maybe 2 or 3 months …..LOL

I’m not as bad as pneumonia but I do feel I need something stronger than you can buy over the counter.
Not all of our Pharmacists can prescribe, but we were told this local one does, when Mom had shingles.

The fire on? Why it’s summer already! 
Yeah, it’s definitely turned cooler and plenty of rain in the forecast. 
Sorry to hear you still have your cold. They normally take about a week to ten days to clear on their own. Maybe you have got an infection and need antibiotics? It’s depressing being ill. Get well soon!

I am so sorry you're feeling poorly. I hope the pharmacist can give you some relief. Cousin #3 was here yesterday; and we packed up a bunch of my husband's clothes.

Yes, the pharmacist gave me some stronger cough syrup….
It must have been hard to pack up your hubbys things ….we still have lots of Dads things ….

I plan on keeping one of my husband's shirts.
