I don’t want to fly.

A lot of you may remember my cruise to Canada was back in September, but at the last minute our flights got canceled, and we couldn’t find a way to get to where we were supposed to have set sail. My sister had wanted to drive there for several reasons, and one was so that wouldn’t happen. Well, after the flights got canceled, that was it for my sister. She and her husband decided to drive there so they wouldn’t miss the cruise due to flight complications. My dad? He and Diana still insist on flying. Why can’t I go with my sister’s family? Well, with fewer people they are ditching the van and driving their Toyota Prius. I won’t fit with three kids and luggage. I have told my dad is something happens, and our flights are once again canceled, he’s going to have to pick a crying, grown woman off the floor. Seriously, I’m not a traveler, but this was with the kids, and I was going to room with Amyra, and finally see Canada (the rest of them have). It will not be a good day if something happens to those flights. I think I’m stuck flying though. We could get refunds, but he’s dead set on going in a plane.

@AmbiePam that should be nice for you. Toronto was always my city so to say and I worked two summers at a Latvian summer camp outside of Toronto,

When it comes to road trips I love them, but flying is not for me. And be careful as Air Canada is well known for over-booking seats on their flights, if you fly on that carrier.

I can understand your reluctance to flying but I'm sure it will go well and you'll enjoy your cruise.

I do not blame you for not wanting to take an airplane ride.

I can honestly say that in my 40 years of flying millions of miles to hundreds of places, I’ve only ever had one flight cancelled. You just had bad luck.

@AmbiePam Planes getting cancelled is my nightmare too. I’m booked to fly to England in July and the airline has already changed the flight times twice.
