I have a few plants and there appear to be a large number of garden snails which are eating all the plants killing some of them. Does anyone know any effective way to get rid of the garden snails, using non-toxic items which are easily available at home.

One of the easiest is manual removal. Snails are most active at night or early morning, so you can go out with a flashlight and pick them off plants. It’s not glamorous, but it’s surprisingly effective if done consistently for a few days.
You can also use simple barriers. Crushed eggshells, dry coffee grounds, or coarse sand around plant bases can make it uncomfortable for snails to cross. They don’t like rough, dry surfaces.

Sorry. Ours is a old house. We don't have a place for garden. I've no idea about any such things.
