Retirement age for President and Vice President

I think that there should be a retirement age for President and Vice President. Maybe 67 is too low, but as we see with the last two Presidents there are severe problems in having a person who is 79 to run the country. What are your thoughts?

@lifecoachjerusalem They should have to retire at 70 no matter how alert they may seem to be. We should all step down from public office or profession when that time comes.

A person should look forward to mentoring younger leaders and make sure that sound financial policies are followed. How old are the leaders in Ireland?

The age of 70 seems reasonable to me. It was necessary to have a minimum age, and I think we really need to have a maximum age.

I fully agree with @xFiacre, they should retire at 70, no matter how alert they are. The actual President will be 80 in10 days and he should not be allowed to be President anymore.

I agree with you. The World leaders are all very old. It is time for younger leadership has a chance to win for offices in all countries. How old are the leaders in Italy?

@lifecoachjerusalem Here in Italy, the one who is important is the "Prime Minister", Giulia Meloni is 49 year old. The Italian President is like the King in England, he does not take decisions. Italian Presidents have always been very old wise men. Sergio Mattarella is a good guy, I think he is 85, but he decides nothing.
