Good Morning, Folks.

It’s a little after 11:30 am, so it’s almost the afternoon. I’ve been at the coffee shop since about 10:30ish. I wanted to get here sooner, but taking a shower was more important lol. Today was a “hair wash day,” and with it being as hot as it is outside, I just pulled it up in a clip to air dry. Easy peasy, except for the fact that I keep forgetting that I’m out of conditioner (I used my sister’s, no need to worry, j/k lmao). I’m going to be here all day working on my direct orders. Yesterday, I worked on an order for another client and then set up my four DOs (obtaining information, creating a template, etc.). Today, I’ll be creating the final draft of each one, proofreading them manually, running them through spell/grammar and AI checker, and adding links. Sometimes, it’s easier to do the prep work one day and the final draft the next day. If this makes it easier and saves time, I’ll do my direct orders (from this client) this way from now on. I need to head to the laundromat after the coffee shop closes. A friend is going with me to ensure I get there and back safely (I’m sure I would, but it’s peace of mind for me). I owe him big time, even though he said it’s fine lol. I’m only washing Dash’s (my dog) belly wraps. I’ll let them dry in the backyard, so I shouldn’t be more than like, 20-25 minutes. I just don’t feel like washing them today. Edit: My friend's allergies are acting up pretty badly, so I told him to please let me know if he'd rather skip the laundromat. I've handwashed these wraps twice; I can handle it. Everyone else is going out, which is why I want to be home at a decent time. My other dog (Bella, she’s 15.5 years old) is blind, and even though we have a safe space for her, I tend to worry. That’s one reason why I’m letting Dash’s wraps air dry. That, and I don’t really want to waste the money to dry them when it’s hot outside. I don’t mind not going out tonight. Outside of staying with my Bella Boo, I don’t really feel like spending any money at the mall. I can continue working, tackle other tasks, or just chill. Maybe I’ll get in some exercise or something. I don’t know, and I don’t care right now. After the laundromat, I don’t need a set plan. Okayyy, I’m going to shift my focus over to my work. You all have a great day, stay safe, and take care. :)

@kaylachan Oh, I've done that lol. That's one of the reasons I prefer to do my work at the coffee shop. Less distractions.

Thanks! I did. Once I got home from the laundromat, I ate, got the dogs settled, and did some chores while listening to my audiobook.

Sounds like you have a good day planned out for yourself. Nothing much happening here. It's a beautiful sunny summer like day and I would love to take my laptop outside but the lawn crew is here and it's noisy plus blowing around all the allergy causing stuff.

Thank you. Oh no. Did you have to work inside? I've thought of sitting outside, but I don't know if my laptop will grab the coffee shop's WiFi. Plus, today and tomorrow are literally going to feel like 100 degrees.

@tammys85 that certainly sounds like it would be too hot to be outside. Its definitely an inside day here today

@Marilynda1225 Absolutely. Plus, I don't have a hotspot on my phone. Lately, I've been strict with my dogs. They can go outside to do their business, and then it's right back inside. It was cooler this morning, but last week, absolutely not. My neighbors let their kitty outside (never leaves the yard) at night, when it's cooler, and I'm happy to say they have NOT let it out in this heat. If it's too hot for us, it's too hot for the furbabies.

Thank you. She receives the extra care to the point where we have a space set up just to ensure she's always safe. No, she just lost her sight within the last year. She's 15.5 years old, so she's a senior dog, and it's due to old age. Her age and changes are something I've been struggling with because we've had her since she was 4 months, and she's my little best friend. But I always try to do right by her and give her lots of love. Her sense of smell is still good, so I'm hoping to get her a toy where she has to sniff for a treat soon (they're called "Snuffle Mats"). She still loves food and treats lol.

@Wrexxo Thank you. I love her so much, and I've literally had to talk to my therapist about the inevitable because it truly bothers me that she's getting older. :( I can, but in light of what I just said, I'm going to post one from a year or two ago. It's one of my favorite pics because I just bought her a new pink blanket.

@tammys85 youve had the dog for 15 years..wow..that's a long time. I'm glad she is getting all the care she needs. Would you mind posting her picture?

Sounds like you have a full but productive day ahead of you! And honestly, shower first was definitely the right priority ?? Hair wash day in hot weather practically demands the “clip it up and let it air dry” strategy.
