Was watching the news this evening and it said inflation rate decreased in the country. However, it isn't felt at all. What people are seeing is still the terrible 7.2% inflation rate in the country last April. Everything is still getting more and more expensive. Especially the basic commodities. The poor simply gets poorer and poorer.

The annual inflation rate in the UK was 2.8% in April 2026, down from 3.3% in March, marking the lowest rate since March of the previous year. This decrease was primarily driven by lower household energy costs and a slowdown in housing inflation. I don't actually believe the actual rate odlf inflation is even relevant to poor people because basic stuff is so expensive anyway and if the rate is only 2.8% how come stuff is not cheaper

It was very law before Trump attacked Iran, now it's around 4% because of the cost of gasoline.

Once prices go up they rarely go down again despite what we're told.
