Did you bet on the Belmont Stakes?

Tonight is the 3rd race in the horse race series known as the Triple Crown. It is the Belmont Stakes and is held in NY state. I think it is also the longest of the 3 races. I don't know. I don't pay much attention to racing or gambling in general though I do like to pick a horse for the Triple Crown races. I picked one for the Kentucky Derby. (don't even remember which one) I missed the Preakness. My ex texted me this afternoon to see which horse I wanted to bet on for tonight's Belmont. I had to laugh because I had taken a nap and dreamed about the race. I had no idea it was today. Since I don't follow racing I just pick horses based on their names, the colors of the jockeys' silks, etc. Today I went with Vitruvian Man who is a long shot at 30-1. It is named for the famous drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. I had my ex place a "show" bet (comes in at least 3rd). I'm sure he did a $2 bet so it won't be any big loss for either of us.
