I can't believe I am almost done with my hardback book on the The Science of Memory. Nerdy I know..but I kind of am, although fun loving I have always been a bit bookish. I just don't know how long it has been since I read a hardback book cover to cover. It has to have been years, and was probably I library book. I do have a book I like Lake Woebeggon Days which is very good and a hardback..but nowhere near finishing it. I doubt I ever will. How long has it been since you have read a hardback book all the way through?

Oh well, buying the books probably makes him feel normal.

@snowy22315 - This is not something new, he has this habit to buy books he thinks are "interesting" and he never read those books.

@LadyDuck Friend used to be like that. We instituted a book buying ban on him. He has certain or used to have certain"buzz" items he was always buying, coats, books, and coffeepots, sometimes tools or lawn equipment. I think really now it is mostly coats or household he is purchasing.

It has been way longer than a couple of years for me. Maybe I should make it a summer project to finish Lake Woebegon Days. It is an excellent book, I just rarely read real books anymore, and certainly not hardcover. I have tried reading a couple of Grisham books that were hardcover..gave up on them.. OH Wait, I read Cold Mountain which was hardback. That was maybe 10 years ago.
