I tried a meditation app last night

So, I have issues sleeping in particular staying asleep once I go. Nico doesn't help as he always wants me to be up watching him eat a snack and thinks he is entitled to eat pre dawn. The days he sleeps in are very nice. Anyway, although I don't feel tired in the morning I am getting nowhere near 7 hours or more of sleep, I don't think I require more than 6 but most days I don't even get that. So, I tried the mediatiation app. I did fall asleep at some point after I used it. I don't think it is a panacea but it will probably help. Have you ever used an app for sleep?

@Ineeddentures I take OTC supplements they aren't enough to keep me asleep all night though. The older you get the harder it is to sleep.

Try a weighted blanket I have one. I will use it tonight. They are sometimes helpful.

I have not used an app to sleep. I have been sleeping really well the past couple of months, thankfully. Some nights I actually get too much sleep and have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, today was one of those days.

I never get too much sleep unless I have sedated myself, or I am sick or some such thing.

No, I never tried an app for sleep and I will not try in the future. Electronics affect the good quality of sleep.

You don't look at it though, you just listen.

@snowy22315 - It's not different, I need total darkness and silence if I want to sleep.

I don't have trouble falling asleep. It is staying asleep that is the problem.

I tried something called green noise on an app, It didn’t work, but I probably should have given it more than one night.

No, but I would like to try. Just like you, I am happy to get 6 hours of sleep but when I see my record of deep sleep in my smart watch, it says I only ogit 20-30% of deep sleep and I want to improve that

Deep sleep is important to keep your brain healthy. Most people don't get enough in this day and age.
