I remember when my kids were young and they got a small wound, scrape, or bruise, they would tell me they have a booboo. I remember the first time I heard of this was when my youngest was talking to her schoolmate and the classmate tell their teacher my son has booboo on his knee. That was when I understand the meaning of the word.
We don't use that when we were young, it's straight forward wound, bruise, cut or scrape.
So now, I got cut by the medicine foil on the side of my thumb, I told my daughter I got a booboo and she laughed at me.

Hahahahahaha!
The baby talk I never grew out of was that "papay" means bread. Every time I saw bread and wanted some I would always tell them Can I have Papay please.
