What a Day

What a day today was. Mostly it was a blur. I slept most of it away. On Sunday I had a 6-month covid booster shot. I received the pneumonia vaccine in late April while at my doctor's appointment-I did not want it, but I was jabbed before I could really make that well known. I think that the shots were just too close together. On Sunday I went to bed with an achy feeling, but I managed to work on Monday. Towards mid day I felt awful, and that persisted as the day wore on. I was in bed before 7 pm last night, just feeling cold and achy and no energy. I coded myself out from work on my computer this morning. Now finally, towards the end of the day, bedtime is in sight, and I have to say that I feel like I am coming out of this awful funk. And hope never to feel it again. How was your day today? ~Photo is mine taken at Port Stanley, Ontario

Those vaccines always get my dad and Diana too. They feel pretty bad for 24 hours. They used to make me really ill as an a child, but surprisingly, as an adult, they have no negative effect. We’ll see how long that lasts though. I really hope you keep improving. Even though I was a child, I still remember how badly I felt.

I have no plans to get another booster shot. This doctor, that I have had for almost a year now, seems to keep me protected in other ways, with other vaccinations, and I only work in the office once a month where I consider myself in close contact.

I had the super flu shot and Covid shot together. I will never do that again. I felt like crap for hours.

Just now
We all have days like that. And, just because you get a vaccine for something doesn't mean you can't get sick. Sounds like that's what happened to you.

I'm sorry the shots affected you that way. I had a covid and flu shot together but apart from a slightly sore arm they didn't affect me.

Glad you're getting out of it. It sucks when we are feeling sick. Had a more relaxed Monday at work. Not too busy. Just a typical Tuesday. I went home early but I also worked a bit upon arriving home.
